Ukemochi limited edition signed print
This 8 x 10 limited edition signed print of Ukemochi, the Japanese Goddess Who Protects Food, was created by artist Emily Davidson. Ukemochi was said to provide from her body, from the bounty from the ocean to the fields and forests and rice paddy land, to prepare a feast. Legend says even after her death food that came from her body could not be destroyed.
Emily Davidson, a Billings, Mont. based artist, created a series of three food deities, commissioned to adorn the first Eat. Share. Give. community refrigerator. All proceeds from this purchase go directly to support the community fridge initiative and feed community members in need of a healthy, nutritious meal at no charge.
Limited edition run of 25 prints.
